ADOLESCENT HEARTACHE

I wish I could take away your pain.

Hold your hand

and tell you that things will be alright.

Sometimes when our days seem their darkest,

it's hard to envision the warmth of the sun.

Remember to never let anyone

force their beliefs upon you;

just believe in yourself.

Let not the problems of another

shadow your self-confidence;

just be true to yourself.

Never let anyone make your decisions for you;

empower the feelings in your heart to guide you.

We shall encounter many people in the course of our lifetime.

Some will leave painful scars,

while others will leave us with beautiful memories.

But each is a learning experience

which will prepare us for future relationships.

So when the present phase of our life

leaves us feeling the anguish of despair,

remember that in the worst of times -

time is the only thing that will heal.

Just allow the goodness inside yourself to shine

and soon enough, you too will once again,

feel the warmth of the sun.
